About Design Studiofolio™
Design Studiofolio™ is a curated publishing platform that documents design studios as archival monographs. Each publication records a studio’s philosophy and body of work in a form designed to endure. At its core, it serves as a living archive, preserving design practice as a clear and lasting professional record.
Design Studiofolio™ is dedicated to studios who value depth, authorship, and long-form documentation. Each Studiofolio is a standalone, editorially driven publication devoted to a single design studio, conceived as a complete archival monograph with a clear narrative structure. Developed with the visual discipline and editorial structure of a magazine, Studiofolios explore a studio’s philosophy, design thinking, and signature works in a considered and coherent format.
How Design Studiofolio Differs
Unlike magazines, social platforms, or project databases, Design Studiofolio™ does not publish individual project uploads or time-based features. We do not operate on news cycles, algorithms, or continuous content feeds. Every Studiofolio is conceived as a complete publication, developed through a structured editorial process and intended to remain relevant over time.
Each Studiofolio is created as a permanent digital archive and developed in print-ready formats. The digital edition serves as the primary record, while print-ready files allow participating studios to produce refined physical editions for archival reference, office libraries, client presentations, investor meetings, and award submissions.
Studiofolio as an Archival Monograph
Each Studiofolio is conceived as an archival monograph. It is a long-form, editorially structured publication that documents a design studio’s identity and evolving practice within a single, cohesive volume.
Studiofolios are not time bound. They are designed to endure. Built with the narrative depth and visual discipline of a book, each Studiofolio functions as a permanent reference that can be revisited, cited, and shared across professional and institutional contexts.
Designed for Professional Use
Studiofolios are developed as long-form digital publications and prepared in print-ready formats, enabling studios to engage audiences online while also producing physical editions tailored for professional and institutional use, including:
- Office libraries, serving as an internal archive of practice, culture, and design thinking
- Client presentations, offering a considered, narrative-driven introduction beyond slide decks
- Investor and stakeholder meetings, communicating vision, methodology, and credibility with clarity
- Awards and design submissions, presenting a cohesive body of work rather than fragmented entries
- Academic and institutional reference, positioning studios within a broader design discourse
In this way, a Studiofolio becomes more than a publication. It becomes a working document of practice that bridges editorial storytelling and professional utility.
Design Sectors
We explore design through six core sectors: Workplace, Commercial, Hospitality, Residential, Mixed Use, and Retail. This framework allows us to examine how studios operate across typologies, respond to context, shape human experience, and articulate identity through space and form.
Selected projects from the Workplace and Hospitality sectors may also be cross-published on our affiliated platforms, Office Concept Design and Hotel & Resort Design. This extends engagement across specialised design audiences while preserving the editorial coherence and integrity of each Studiofolio.
Editorial Philosophy
Design Studiofolio™ is not built for speed, but for significance. We value clarity over clutter, editorial intention over algorithms, and timelessness over trend.
Our focus is on studios with a distinct point of view. Those who design with care, challenge convention, and contribute meaningfully to design culture. Each Studiofolio is developed through a considered editorial process, ensuring coherence, depth, and long-term relevance.
Whether you are a design professional, a future collaborator, or a discerning observer, we invite you to engage with each Studiofolio as a carefully composed journey through design excellence.
About The Design Studiofolio™ Journey
In 2007, we published the first issue of Office Concept Design, a magazine dedicated to the evolving landscape of workplace design. At a time when offices were shifting from rigid functionality toward more human centred environments, the publication focused not only on completed spaces, but also on the thinking, strategies, and values behind them. Through close collaboration with leading studios worldwide, it earned the trust of a discerning design community.
Building on this editorial foundation, we launched Hotel & Resort Design in 2015. As hospitality environments became increasingly experiential and narrative driven, the platform enabled deeper exploration of immersive spaces while extending long term relationships with studios shaping global luxury, leisure, and lifestyle design.
In 2025, we introduced Design Studiofolio™, marking a natural evolution of our publishing ethos.
Design Studiofolio™ is not a magazine in the traditional sense. It is a curated publishing platform where Studiofolios function as archival monographs rather than time bound issues. Each Studiofolio is a long form editorial publication that documents the philosophy, identity, and evolution of a design studio across sectors and over time.
Drawing from the editorial depth established through our previous titles, Design Studiofolio™ is guided by a commitment to lasting relevance. We do not follow trends. We focus on meaning. Each Studiofolio is developed as a considered monograph that captures ideas, processes, and spatial impact with clarity and intent.
From workplace to hospitality, and from publication to archival record, our commitment remains unchanged. To champion design that matters, and the studios who shape it.
